About
My Background
The original inspiration to become a photographer came from my Father's photo studio in Markdale, Ontario. From 1972 -2002 our family had a ski shop and ski school at Chicopee Ski Club in Kitchener. Skiing and photography has always been a part of our family.
I started my photography career in Whistler, BC in 1998. My early focus was photographing high end homes in Whistler for architects and builders. I had the opportunity to work on film sets in Vancouver as the "Production Stills Photographer".
My goal to become a professional photographer in combination with my passion for skiing was a lifelong dream.
Over the last 20 years , I have been able to realize this dream at Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing capturing the essence of the mountain experience through my images and video work.
Living in Kamloops and working in surrounding areas, I have diversified my business which now includes projects that range from Architectural, Business Portraits, Weddings and Industrial/Construction.
